Default Importing from the US

I have heard a lot of the cars being sold in the Vancouver area are really coming from the states and being resold by the ones bringing them in for a quick flip. Does anyone have any experience in this? I heard that the 2008 models are more difficult to import? Any help would be appreciated.

ya me too, I was thinking of getting a Cadallac Escalade, i just found out there would be no duty!

I heard if you go to Blaine Washingtion or just over the border it will be hard to buy a vehicle or the dealer ship will plain just reject you if you believe or not.

I was thinking of going to Oregon and picking one up. There also might be an issue with the warranty as well when bringing it up to Canada.

You do save alot of dEniro though I must say... well worth the trip if you ask me!

That would be one sweet ride. Do you know if you still have to pay the applicable state tax. If so, I think Oregon doesn't have one so it might make sense to go down to Portland or something.
